There were a few people using it on socials and it was already claimed on an (empty) GitHub account, but no one had used it publically to create anything significant. Also, clectric.com was parked, but I didn't really want it anyway because ... TLDs are cool! [[Welcome|clectric.io]], [[clectric.diy]], [[clectric.audio]], [[clectric.video]], and [[clectric.radio]] were all available. ### Logo #### Graphic [[my favorite second daughter|My favorite second daughter]] designed our logo when she was 13. Here's the original: ![[originalLogo.png]] #### Emoji It was my idea to use emoji to make it instantly familiar, but she took it from there. It is a ⚡️on top of a 🎛️ with some ✨s around it ... ✨🎛️⚡✨ ... [you know, for kids](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7G5F8ObYgjI). ### Word #### Unicode [[my favorite second daughter|My favorite second daughter]] stumbled onto the 𝔉𝔯𝔞𝔨𝔱𝔲𝔯 unicode "font" and thought it looked cool and I agreed. She didn't realize how brilliant it was. We could now use the stylized 𝔠𝔩𝔢𝔠𝔱𝔯𝔦𝔠 name just about anywhere! However, ... #### Font The uppercase letters in most gothic / blackletter / old English fonts suck. They look cool, but are way too ornate to be of any general or practical use, so I set out to find a blackletter font without this issue. I found, and we use, the [SIL Open Font Licensed](https://openfontlicense.org) font called [New Rocker](https://fonts.google.com/specimen/New+Rocker). It has a couple of issues (*cough* N *cough*), but met the need.
